We are an evangelical Lutheran parish affiliated with the North American Lutheran Church (NALC). Christ crucified for the sin of the world is the message we proclaim.

First English Lutheran Church believes and confesses,

• Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
• That the Holy Scriptures are the inspired and unfailing Word of God, and the authoritative source and norm of our proclamation, faith, and life.
• Scripture teaches both God's demand for human life in His Law, and also the promise of salvation in the Gospel. Above all, the Scripture bears witness to our Lord, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself in His cross and death for our sins so that we might be justified and forgiven by faith alone in His Word.
• We also hold the Lutheran Confessions, contained in the 1580 Book of Concord, to be accurate declarations of the faith of the Church.
